1. Third Best Paper Award (2023): Dr. Viral received the third best paper award from The Institute of Engineers, India, an international professional society.
2. Best Research Paper Presentation (2018): Dr. Viral was honoured with best paper presentation at the International Youth Summit, jointly organized by Gujarat University, Ahmadabad, and the International Youth Summit in South Korea, marking recognition both nationally and internationally.
3. National Level – Second Rank (2016): For exceptional research, Dr. Viral secured the National Level – Second Rank and a Cash Prize of Rs 50,000 in the Student Research Award for Best Research in ANVESHAN: Student Research Convention, conferred by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
4. Zonal Level - Student Research Award (2016): Additionally, in the same year, Dr. Viral was honoured with the Zonal Level - Student Research Award for Best Research in ANVESHAN: Student Research Convention by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, further acknowledging my academic prowess at the national level.
5. Inspire Fellowship (2013): The Ministry of Science and Technology, GOI, New Delhi, awarded Dr. Viral with the esteemed Inspire Fellowship (IF 130805), recognizing his potential in scientific research and innovation.
6. University First Rank Holder (2012): During the academic years at JAU, Junagadh, Dr. Viral, attained the prestigious title of University First Rank Holder, a testament to my academic excellence at a national level academic institution.

Profile
Dr. Viral Prafulkumar Joshi, a dedicated scholar and working professional holds a doctorate degree in the field of Renewable Energy Engineering, with a focus on Microalgae cultivation for biofuel production and the development of Novel photo-bioreactor technologies from Junagadh Agricultural University. His academic pursuits and research are geared towards enhancing the integration of renewable energy systems in agriculture, with special attention to Algal Photo-Bioreactors, Algal Physiology and Sustainable Bioprocesses.
Dr. Viral have been involved in different research projects, including the development of Agri-voltaic Systems for co-location of agriculture & energy and biomass gasification, illustrate his commitment to merging renewable energy solutions with conventional agricultural methodologies to boost sustainability and productivity. Beyond research, he has over twelve years of experience in academics, currently working as an Assistant Professor at KKIASR, Ganpat University in Gujarat. He believes in the opportunity to implement innovative educational strategies and make substantial contributions to the development of the curriculum, especially in areas like Renewable Energy Engineering. He has engaged in roles that span research and academic leadership, contributing to initiatives sponsored by globally recognized entities like the World Bank through ICAR, New Delhi. These positions have allowed him to play a pivotal role in international collaborations, the establishment of incubation centres, and the orchestration of numerous capacity-building initiatives.
Dr. Viral have worked in creating advanced laboratories and promoting sustainable environmental practices highlights his dedication towards advancing education and technology in renewable energy. He has actively participated in the renewable energy community through mentorship in organising educational events such as Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Symposium, Trainings, Faculty Development Training and as a Speaker at various national and international conferences. His membership in multiple renewable energy forums underscores my advocacy for innovative energy solutions. His career is a testament to a blend of scholarly excellence and practical application, aiming to bridge the gap between research and practical implementation in renewable energy and sustainable development.
