AWARD AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Dr. Kishan's achievements extend beyond his academic and research endeavors. He has received several prestigious awards and recognitions for his outstanding contributions to the field of Agricultural Extension:

1. 2nd Position in Oral Presentation (2024): Dr Kishan received 2nd prize in oral presentation for “Innovative Agricultural Extension Approaches for Holistic Development of Farming Community” at SEEG- National Seminar, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University.

2. Best Ph.D. Thesis (2023): Dr Kishan was awarded for Best Ph.D. Thesis entitled “Management Efficiency of Cotton Seed Producer Farmers” in 5th International Conference “Global Insights on Research and Development in Agriculture, Horticulture, and Allied Sciences” at G. H. Raisoni University, Saikheda (MP).

3. Junior Research Fellowship (2020): Dr Kishan was awarded for University Grants Commission (UGC) NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Government of India.

4. Best Article (2021): Dr Kisha was honoured with the Best Article entitled “Agripreneur: Emerging Trade in India” in Agriculture & Food: e-Newsletter.

5. SHODH- ScHeme of Developing High Quality Research Scholarship (2019): Dr Kishan was awarded with a stipend for SHODH- ScHeme of Developing High Quality Research Scholarship, Government of Gujarat.

Profile

Dr. Kishan is a distinguished individual with a robust academic background and have extensive research experience in Agricultural Extension & Communication. He holds a doctorate degree from SDAU, Gujarat. Additionally, he has successfully passed the ICAR SRF examination, showcasing his expertise. Dr. Kishan's academic prowess is further demonstrated by his achievement in the ASRB-ICAR NET exam in 2021, affirming his proficiency in Agricultural Extension. His research portfolio encompasses various facets of Agricultural Extension, including Demonstrations, Advanced Training methodologies, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), National Services Scheme, and Capacity Development of the Farming Community.

Throughout his doctorate studies, Dr. Kishan made a notable impact on the agricultural sector through his research on the management efficiency of cotton seed producing farmers. His research findings indicated a medium to high level of efficiency in the management of cotton seed production enterprises. Furthermore, farmers demonstrated commendable abilities in planning, organizing, and coordinating within the cotton seed production domain. 

In addition to his research endeavours, Dr. Kishan actively participates in academic pursuits, delivering lectures across various courses such as Fundamentals of Agricultural Extension, Rural Sociology & Educational Psychology, Agricultural Marketing Trade & Prices and Agricultural Finance & Cooperation. His enthusiasm for teaching, coupled with his expertise in capacity development within farming and rural communities, is evident. Moreover, he has contributed significantly to scholarly literature with many research articles, cementing his status as a prolific researcher in agricultural extension. Dr. Kishan's commitment, qualifications, and teaching proficiency render him a valuable asset to GUNI-KKIASR and to the broader field of Agricultural Extension.
