Profile
I am a passionate postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Earth Sciences, Uppsala University, Sweden, where I focus on cutting-edge solutions for carbon dioxide sequestration through microbial enhanced rock weathering. My primary project investigates the utilization of microbial species to accelerate mineral dissolution, facilitating the conversion of CO2 into stable carbonates. This research is part of an EU-funded Horizon2020 initiative aimed at developing Negative Emission Technologies (NETs) to help achieve Net Zero emissions.
In addition to my work in carbon sequestration, I am also an active researcher in the Molecular Biotechnology group, where I contribute to various projects exploring microbiome, particularly in the fields of anaerobic digestion and gut microbiology.
With a strong interdisciplinary background in Genomics, Microbiology and Biotechnology, I am committed to advancing innovative solutions for environmental sustainability and improving our understanding of microbial processes in various ecological contexts.
