Profile

Dr. Apeksha Patel is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in wastewater purification technologies, microbial remediation, and nanocomposite-based treatment processes. She earned her Ph.D. in Environment & Sustainable Development from the Central University of Gujarat, where her doctoral research explored Nano-based composites and bio-nanocomposites for sustainable wastewater management. Accomplished professional with extensive experience in wastewater purification technologies and nano remediation methods. Demonstrated expertise in nanoparticle synthesis, nanocomposite material development, and applied research. Proficient in research methodologies, statistical tools, and experimental design. Committed to driving innovation and advancing research programmes through analytical research and effective article and report writing. Bringing well-established groundwork in academic research and teaching, with focus on fostering student engagement and collaborative learning.

During PhD she served as a Senior Research Fellow under the Integrated Coastal Zone Management Programme (ICZMP), where she contributed to the development of innovative wastewater treatment systems. Her work focused on designing and optimizing reactors for wastewater purification. Applying nanocomposites and bio-nanocomposites to enhance contaminant degradation. Advancing applied research in sustainable water management with real-world environmental impact. Supporting the programme’s broader goal of integrated coastal resource management and pollution mitigation. This project strengthened her expertise in applied nanotechnology for environmental remediation and connected her research to large-scale sustainability initiatives. She has presented her work at national and international conferences, receiving recognition such as the Best Poster Presentation Award.
