General Information
Dr. Hiral M. Patel is a dedicated researcher and educator in Agricultural Economics. She earned her Ph.D. from N. M. College of Agriculture, NAU, Navsari. Her research focuses on economic efficiency and total factor productivity in milk production in South Gujarat. Through her work, she provided valuable insights into livestock populations and milk production patterns, helping policymakers develop strategies to improve dairy farming and farmers' livelihoods. She has also studied the growth and instability of livestock populations and milk production in South Gujarat and Gujarat. Additionally, she analyzed costs and returns, total factor productivity and its determinants, technical efficiency, and the challenges faced by dairy farmers in the region. Beyond research, she is actively involved in teaching, delivering lectures on subjects like Agricultural Finance and Cooperation. She has also contributed to academia with four research papers, three book chapters, and six articles. Her expertise, dedication, and teaching skills make her a valuable member of GUNI-KKIASR.
