AWARD AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Dr. Jasmee Patel achievements extend beyond her academic and research endeavours. She has received several prestigious awards and recognitions for her outstanding contributions to the field of Plant Pathology:
1. Best Poster presentation Award (2024): Dr. Jasmee was honoured with the Best Poster Award in 2024 for her remarkable contributions to the field of 3 D Printing. The award was presented during the 3rd Asian Congress on "Plant Pathology: Plant and Soil Health Management for a Better Tomorrow" at Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat.
2. Best Ph.D. Thesis Award (2023): Dr. Jasmee was honoured with the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award in 2023 for her remarkable contributions to the field of Plant Pathology. The award, presented during the 6th international conference on "Strategies and Challenges in Agricultural and Life Science for Food Security and Sustainable Environment" at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, recognizes her significant recognition of her remarkable contributions to the field of plant pathology.
3. Patent (2023): Dr. Jasmee got patent for IOT-BASED AEROBIC IN-VESSEL COMPOST DEVICE Design no 6279604 Publication date11 May, 2023.
4. Gold prize (2023): Dr. Jasmee mentored a student project titled "Fully Automated Humidifier," which received a financial grant of Rs 70,000/- in accordance with the Student Startup & Innovation Policy 2.0 from Ganpat University. The same project clinched the first prize in the esteemed gold category, earning a prize of INR 15,000/- at the International Research Paper & Project Symposium, "Shodh Shikar 2023," held at Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal (M.P.).
5. Women Scientist Award (2021): Dr. Jasmee was honoured with Women Scientist Award for her outstanding contribution in the field of plant pathology. It reflects her dedication and commitment to her field of study.
Profile
Dr. Jasmee is an exceptional individual with a robust academic background and extensive research experience in Plant Pathology. She graduated from Anand Agriculture University and obtained her Master's and Doctoral degrees from Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University. Her academic accomplishments are further highlighted by her successful completion of the ASRB-ICAR NET exam in 2018, showcasing her expertise and understanding in the field of plant pathology. Her research encompasses various areas within plant pathology, including Epidemiological Studies, Cumin Blight Management, Fungicide Bio-efficacy and Phytotoxicity and Integrated Disease Management.
During her Ph.D., Dr. Jasmee made a significant contribution to the field by studying the screening germplasm of groundnut and investigating its resistance against tikka disease, a major devastating disease. As a research associate, she evaluated the bio-efficacy and phytotoxicity of BAS751 01 F 400g/I SC against blight and powdery mildew diseases in cumin. She also conducted bio-efficacy evaluations of fungicide UPFI 116 as a seed tuber treatment against Black scurf, Scab, Late blight, white grub, and termites in Potato. In addition to her doctoral research, Dr. Jasmee conducted valuable studies during her master's degree, particularly focusing on powdery mildew disease in dill seed and its management. Her research efforts led to the formulation of scientific recommendations on cumin blight.
Apart from her research, Dr. Jasmee actively engages in academic pursuits, which involve delivering lectures on various subjects such as the Fundamentals of Plant Pathology, Principles of Integrated Pest and Disease Management and Agriculture Microbiology. Beyond her roles in research and teaching, she also hosts television programs tailored for farmers. Dr. Jasmee has contributed extensively to numerous publications, comprising research papers, books, book chapters, popular articles, and scientific recommendations, all of which have been featured in prestigious national and international journals.
