Profile

Dr. Mrugesh Patel is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in Microbiology, Plant-microbe interaction, food microbiology, industrial microbiology and role of microbes in sustainable agriculture practices. He earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University of Gujarat, where his doctoral research explored drought tolerant Actinobacteria from the rhizospheric soil to helps plants to grow under the drought stress condition through different mechanisms of bacteria and the identification of the species. Accomplished professional with extensive experience in Microbiology, fermentation practices and plant-microbe interaction. Demonstrated expertise in microbes based food products, bioinoculants, biofertilizers, and applied research for safe and resilience agriculture future. Proficient in research methodologies, statistical tools, and experimental techniques. Committed to driving innovation and advancing research programmes through analytical research and effective article and report writing. Bringing well-established groundwork in academic research and teaching, with focus on fostering student engagement and collaborative learning.

During Doctoral degree he was awarded for Shodh Fellowship for the 2 years of doctoral research from the Government of Gujarat. His work focused on isolating the drought tolerant actinobacterial species from the rhizospheric soil and their inoculation to the plants to helps the plants for surviving under the water stress condition and also promotes the plant growth through different plants microbe interactions. Uses of bioinoculants and biofertilizers for the safe and alive future of agriculture and reduces the use of chemical fertilizers. For this research he has been two times awarded as “Best Research Scholar” for the outstanding contribution in the field of Microbiology from the 1st IAC, Balaghat and 10th ICAHESA, Jaipur respectively. During his academic carrier he received many times different medals for the state level inter universities sports tournaments.
