Profile

Dr. Umang B. Patel is a dedicated academician and researcher in Agricultural Economics with a strong foundation in teaching, research, and agricultural marketing. He holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture (Agricultural Economics) from Navsari Agricultural University (2024) and an M.Sc. (Agricultural Economics) from Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (2021). His doctoral research focused on Assess equity and efficiency of canal irrigation: A comparative approach of water users of Gujarat state, reflecting his deep interest in water management and sustainable agricultural systems. With experience as an Assistant Professor at Madhav University and prior work as a Field Investigator.

Dr. Patel has contributed to numerous national and international journals, book chapters, and agricultural publications. Recognized with several awards, including the Shodh Scheme for Developing High-Quality Research and multiple Best Oral Presentation Awards, he is passionate about advancing agricultural productivity, market efficiency, and sustainability through data-driven research and effective teaching.
