INDIAN AGRICULTURE 2.0- A PARADIGM SHIFT

The Institute organized an Online Webinar on “INDIAN AGRICULTURE 2.0- A PARADIGM SHIFT” by Dr. Subrajyoti Mishra, Assistant Professor, School of Agriculture, GIET University, Odisha on 8th April, 2022 to brief about different methods for better farming like, Vertical farming, Aeroponics, Aquaponics, Hydroponics, SLPT and Robotics. We still need to invest more in research and crop specific technological adaptation. All the students of Agriculture joined the webinar and asked the queries also. Dr. Subrajyoti Mishra also explained that a plant for it’s successful lifecycle requires the following things; Sun light, Healthy soil, Nutrient, Water and Air. There are three ways to increase yield viz., Select good genetical potential crop, Select the best management practices and good environment conditions. According to sir we still need to invest more in research and crop specific technological adaptation.
